Rapid Acupressure Procedure (RAP)

Developed by Suzi Tyler

RAP is a Rapid procedure that helps to reduce emotional and physical distress, fear and anxiety symptoms.  RAP builds upon the proven track record of four prominent therapies: Acupuncture (without using needles), Thought Field Therapy (TFT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Breathing Therapy.  There are also linguistic technologies that place the mind in a resourceful state.  RAP Level I has been designed for doctors, midwives, nurses and staff who are at the front line of dealing with patient distress.  Level I RAP targets distress and fear based symptoms specifically.  It is aimed to provide a valuable skill to help calm stressful situations.  It will help to calm a nervous patient who is particularly distressed abut a health problem or forthcoming operation.  It will provide interim help for patients who are waiting for emotional related referrals, for example Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

Advanced Level Rap procedures can help to clear tension headaches and seemingly unrelated pain symptoms by clearing hurt, anger (at self or another) and guilt from our past, as well as helping to build self worth and confidence. Fibromyalgia is a good example of emotions contributing to real physical pain.
